The Hague, October 22th, 2022. The officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, in the company of Cuban residents and their families, met this day to honor the Day of Cuban Culture.
The meeting revealed the pride of feeling Cuban and the remembrance of the meaning of the date, given that 154 years ago the wars of independence began and the notes of La Bayamesa were sung. The anthem and the flag were present, as well as the projection of videos of different cultural manifestations such as contemporary dance, ballet and Cuban music.
On the occasion, a special recognition was given to the Associations "Cubanos en Holanda" and "Cuba en Mi Alma", for their commitment and relevant work in favor of the Homeland. These associations have played an active role in organizing and sending donations to the island in recent months. Likewise, the work of all those compatriots who offer their help to the Cuban people was highlighted.
The evening featured a performance by the musician Wimian Beatriz Hernández Reyes.
