Celebration for International Women's Day at the residence of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley

As part of the activities in commemoration of International Women's Day in Barbados, the so-called "Tea Party" took place on March 11, at the residence of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, which was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba in Barbados, Yanet Stable, fulfilling an invitation from her Office.

One of the objectives of the event was to raise funds to support women who have been affected by the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic.

This type of social celebration in Barbados, inherited from the English tradition, is held every year at the Prime Minister's residence to bring together women from different sectors of Barbadian society.
