Organized by the Embassy of Cuba in Thailand, on December 29, 2017, a solemn and joyful celebration took place in Bangkok for the 59th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, on January 1, 2018, and the advent in 2018 of the 150th Anniversary of the beginning of the War of Independence of the largest of the Antilles.
The event, which featured artistic performances by Cuban musicians, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, Cuban residents, as well as representatives of institutions, companies and Thai counterparts in cooperation projects.
The activity served as a prelude to the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand in Cuba, to be celebrated on 5/15/2018.
The new anniversary of the revolutionary victories of the Cuban people takes place a year after the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief and Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, as a worthy tribute to his thoughts and legacy.
To all, many congratulations, with the commitment to face the New Year 2018 with the same spirit of struggle that Fidel and Raúl instilled in us, in the Year 60 of the Triumph of our glorious Revolution.
