Cairo, June 5, 2025. The chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority Dr. Ali El Ghamrawy received at the headquarters of the institution the Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga.
During the fruitful meeting, they exchanged on Dr. Ghamrawy's recent visit to Cuba to participate in the Cuba-Health 2025 Convention, as well as on the possibilities of developing and strengthening cooperative relations in the areas of health and drug production.
Both parties highlighted the historical friendly relations between the two countries and reaffirmed the willingness to continue working on strengthening ties in areas of common interest, mainly in the health branch.
The Egyptian Medicines Authority signed in May 2024 a memorandum of understanding with the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices of Cuba (CEDMED), marking a milestone in the collaboration between the two authorities in the field of regulation of medical products.
