Chairman of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

JAKARTA, January 23, 2025.- The Cuban Ambassador to Indonesia, Dagmar González Grau, visited the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and was received by Dr. Mardani Ali Sera, President of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.

 At the meeting, the Ambassador explained the interest in strengthening ties with the Cooperation Committee and in having the new Friendship Group with Cuba in the Indonesian Parliament. Dr. Mardani confirmed that on January 30, the new Friendship Group with Cuba would be established and that they invited the Cuban Embassy to participate in the constitution ceremony.

Two vice presidents of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee of the House of Representatives, Irine Y. Putri and Ravindra Airlanga, participated in the meeting. The possibility of supporting possible cooperation actions between the two countries in the areas of health, education, culture, agriculture, science, technology and innovation, and sports, among other sectors, which have cooperation agreements in force between the two countries, was discussed.
