Dili, January 4, 2024. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste, Bendito dos Santos Freitas, received in his offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste, the Cuban Ambassador, Alina Aldama, who congratulated him on the arrival of a new year and delivered a copy of the messages sent at that time by his counterpart, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, in relation to the support received in the fight against the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. The Cuban diplomat also gave an overview of the cooperation offered in the country.
On the Timorese side, Chancellor Bendito recalled the visit he will make to Havana in 2023 as head of the delegation that attended the G-77 + China Summit, and thanked for the information received, promising to accompany and support the fulfillment of the objectives outlined between the two countries.
