Colombo, June 6, 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido participated in a commemorative activity for International Tea Day 2024, organized by the National Tea Board

The event was chaired by Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries, Tharaka Balasuriya, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Niraj De Mel, director of the National Tea Board  of Sri Lanka, with whom he had the opportunity to exchange.

Sri Lanka produces a significant portion of the world's best tea and is one of the largest tea exporters on the planet. During the activity, the various tea regions of Sri Lanka were exposed.
