Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz's 96th birthday celebrated in Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica, 13 August, 2022. Members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, Jamaican friends and other nationalities that make up the movement of solidarity with Cuba and Cubans residing in Jamaica met at the Embassy of Cuba on the afternoon  of Friday, August 12, to celebrate the 96th birthday of our invincible Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

Dr. Tania Yanet Martínez Galainena, a member of the Medical Brigade, defined the ability to communicate with the people as one of the main strengths of the leader of the Cuban Revolution. She also highlighted how, despite his physical departure, the teachings of his speeches continue to be valid, in which it is possible to identify "an honest and upright Fidel, a shrewd politician and a great strategist with a vision of the future".

Friend Trevor Brown, president of the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association (JCFA), highlighted unity as one of the main virtues of Fidel and the Cuban Revolution. He recalled its transcendence throughout the revolutionary process and stressed its relevance in the current circumstances, where enemy campaigns against Cuba are intensifying and the criminal and genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade against our country persists.

To conclude, Anabel Landrón Ochoa, Third Secretary in charge of consular affairs, referred to the internationalist and humanist principles that have guided Cuba's foreign policy, under the wise and accurate leadership of our Commander in Chief. She recalled the trust placed by Fidel in the new generations and assured that Cuban youth would remain faithful to his legacy and would continue his revolutionary work "until victory always".
