The Resolution, signed by the president of ICAP, Fernando González Llort, specifies that the commemorative Seal "ICAP's 60th Anniversary" is created with the objective of recognizing exceptionally and for the only time those associations that are members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, who have maintained an active role in defense of the Cuban Revolution, helping to spread the truth about its political, social and economic transformations, and to strengthen friendship between the peoples of the world.
Nikos Karandreas, president of the Association, received the award which he thanked on behalf of its members. With brief and emotional words, he ratified the feelings of solidarity and the admiration they feel for the struggles of the Cuban people and their revolution, as well as the decision to continue working to strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Greece and Cuba.
During the meeting, the ambassador offered extensive information on the current situation in Cuba and the hard work carried out by the cuban people in its fight against the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government more than 60 years ago, and for the recovery of the enormous damage caused by the recent hurricane that hit the country.
