Communication and Information authorities of ALBA-TCP meet

Havana, April 12, 2021. The meeting of high authorities of the Communication and Information area of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) held a virtual session on the afternoon of this Monday April 12th, as part of the post-pandemic work plan for 2021, approved by the Heads of State and Government at the XVIII ALBA-TCP Summit, held on December 14, 2020.
At the meeting, common strategies were discussed to activate communication policies that promote greater integration between our peoples and contribute to counteract the existing media war against the Alliance countries. They also discussed the potential of ALBA-TCP and the need to promote our cultures and show the strength, validity and effectiveness of this regional bloc.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza joined the meeting to convey an affectionate greeting from its president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and insist on the importance of developing alternative networks and new means for joint collaboration between our countries.
The executive secretary of ALBA-TCP, Sacha Llorenti Soliz; Ministers, Vice Ministers and other authorities of the ALBA member countries. The Cuban delegation was headed by the president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), Alfonso Noya Martínez, and made up of other officials from the ICRT and MINREX.
