Communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

With the aim of encouraging tourism, facilitating the flow of travelers and continuing to promote friendly relations and cooperation with the People's Republic of China, it has been decided to exempt Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports who wish to enter, transit, leave or remain in the territory of the Republic of Cuba from the visa requirement.

Chinese citizens who wish to remain in the territory of the Republic of Cuba for a period exceeding ninety (90) days, as of entry, must apply for the corresponding visa.

Chinese citizens entering the national territory to work, study (including courses organized by official entities of both Parties), reside, report news or engage in other activities other than those authorized for their entry into the national territory, must apply for the corresponding visa before entering Cuban territory.

This facility will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of exchanges between the peoples of both countries.
