The Communist Party of Luxembourg Hosts the Cuban Ambassador to Luxembourg at Its Headquarters.

Luxembourg, October 14, 2026. The Cuban ambassador to the Netherlands, accredited to Luxembourg, held an extensive discussion with members of the leadership of the Communist Party of Luxembourg.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Cuban diplomat to offer an update on the current situation in our country, the severe impact of the blockade, the energy blockade, the new executive orders issued by the U.S. government, secondary sanctions, and the country’s continued inclusion on the list of so-called state sponsors of terrorism.

The representatives of the KPL reaffirmed their solidarity with our country, while recognizing the unity and resilience of the Cuban people amid such difficult conditions. They reaffirmed their ongoing support for the struggle to end the blockade and the U.S. government’s criminal policy against Cuba.

The Communist Party of Luxembourg maintains a historic and steadfast stance of solidarity with Cuba, consistently expressing its support for the sovereignty of the Cuban people and the Communist Party of Cuba. Through statements and its press organ, the KPL vigorously denounces the blockade, demanding an end to the energy blockade and foreign interference, while upholding the internationalist legacy of the Cuban Revolution and its leading figures, such as the Commander-in-Chief and Che Guevara, among others. The KPL regularly participates in the International Meetings of Communist and Workers’ Parties in Havana and in European forums, where it has signed joint statements against coercive measures and in support of Cuba.

At the same time, KPL members have collaborated with European international solidarity initiatives, volunteer work brigades, and efforts to promote political and cultural exchange with the island.
