During the meeting, both parties exchanged about the historical cooperation between Cuba and Indonesia in multilateral matters, mainly within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, of which both Indonesia and Cuba have been historical leaders, in support of the Cuban Resolution against the blockade and in the matter of candidacies.
The Cuban diplomat reiterated her gratitude for the firm and invariable support that Indonesia offers Cuba every year in its battle of more than half a century to lift the unfair US blockade.
Director Tri Purnajaya also provided detailed information on Indonesia's prospects for the ASEAN Pro Tempore Chairmanship this year, as well as the upcoming high-level and technical meetings of the Archipelagic and Island States Forum, which will take place this year. in this country.
The Archipelagic and Island States (ISA) Forum is a platform designed to include 47 archipelagic and island states from around the world to participate in a collective forum addressing sustainable development issues.
