Consul general of Cuba is received by the Mayor of Istanbul.

The Consul General of the Republic of Cuba in Istanbul, Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas was received by the Mayor of the city Ekrem İmamoğlu, who welcomed the Cuban diplomat and the opening of the island's consular office in this city, while offering his willingness to work together to expand bilateral relations. For his part, the Consul General expressed his interest and commitment to continue developing economic, cultural and cooperation ties between the two nations, as well as strengthening ties with the Cuban community residing in the historic city.

With more than 15 million inhabitants, Istanbul is one of the most populated cities in the world and the largest in Europe. Ekrem İmamoğlu has been the Mayor of the city since 2019.
