Cooperation between Cuba and Norway in the field of aquaculture is strengthened

Oslo, November 25, 2022. This November 24, Ana Teresita González Fraga, Acting Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Beate Stirø, Ambassador of Norway, signed in Havana the agreement for the implementation of the cooperation project “Production of marine fish fry in Cuba”.

This Agreement gives continuity to the collaboration existing since 2003 between the Cuban Fisheries Research Center and the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research, which, sponsored by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), has promoted sustainable marine aquaculture in Cuba.
