Oslo, February 5, 2025. Within the framework of the cooperation project “Ecological Connections: Cultural Studies in Cuba and Norway” (ECOCON), developed by the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) and the University of Havana (UH), a new group of postgraduate students from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the UH recently arrived in this country.
At the USN in Bø, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hans Jacob Ohldieck, director the ECOCON project by the Norwegian side, doctoral students Gabriela Casuso and Daylet Arteaga, and master's students Alejandro Malcom Fernández, Amalia Pentón, Mariana Mora and Paula Najmías, will be carrying out research stays for five months.
This group of young Cuban professors will be accompanied during the first month by Professor Dr. Alejandro Sánchez Castellanos, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, who, among other activities, plans to project a book on linguistic studies with Professor Dr. Guro Nore Fløgstad, of the USN.
