By Kennedy Earle Clarke
“No real progressive minded Leader of any country, who truly and irrevocably believes in liberating his people through education from kindergarten to university would implement the degrading, divisive exploitative, oppressive economic system called capitalism to do so, for it will be totally impossible to accomplish this feat, using that economic system of development” Kennedy Earle Clarke.
How can you use a system which oppressed a whole race of people, degraded them, exploited them, oppressed them, divided them, segregated against them, lynched them from trees and then turn around and use that same system to liberate your oppressed people? The working class people all over the world, have to be thoroughly educated to the fact that the system called capitalism can never liberate a people to the level where they can enjoy all the basic human rights of proper medical attention, free education from kindergarten to university, proper housing conditions.
The capitalist system only favours the one percent (1%) of any population who feast off the backs of the other 99% working class through their toil and sweat, their dehumanization and their misery. The 1% eat the best, wear the best, live the best, their children receive the best education, and, when they are fully satisfied and cannot accommodate any more,, they throw the remnants at the 99% to scramble for. If a progressive Leader of any country who believes in the overwhelming dignity of his people, who believes that all men are created equal by the same Creator, he cannot allow his people to live under those horrifying conditions?
That Leader will try his utmost to liberate his people from those degrading conditions by introducing an economic system (Socialism) which supplies them with all the basic human rights. That Leader would ensure that his people have access to proper housing; that they can access the best medical attention free of cost. This Leader would educate his people free of cost from kindergarten to University level. Having educated your people, how can you then suppress those same very people when you have opened their eyes to the truth and have expanded their minds to think? How can you suppress a people whom you have provided with the ability to fulfill their own personal dreams of becoming whoever and whatever they wanted to become? How can you suppress your people when you have provided them with such human rights tools to be used at their disposal? This Leader then goes on to ensure that the worker is well represented at his workplace through Union representation, which gives that worker a voice in the running of the institution in which he works?
Does these humane conditions not awaken that worker’s consciousness, making him fully aware of his role in the production and enhancement of the institution in which he works? He is not a slave just forcing himself to attend work to be paid a mere pittance of what he is worth, so that the owner could reap humongous profits from his cheap labour. Under this new Socialist System, that worker is a part and parcel of the institution. He feels his attachment to the plant; it is his and rightly so. He has a hand and a voice in the running of its affairs. He can now walk with pride and dignity, holding his head high! This is the transformation that the Socialist Revolution brings to the working class and the country. The oligarchs in the capitalist countries do not want their workers to feel liberated, for their source of cheap labour and huge profits will dry up, evaporate, and disappear. Their bombastic way of life will be sorely affected.
This is why they would attempt to assassinate our Socialist Leaders, overthrow their Governments and impose drastic, criminal and inhuman embargoes upon the Government, the people and the country. The Leader has the people well educated, so they cannot spew out their propaganda for them to absorb, because the eyes of the people are wide opened to the realities of life; they can now think for themselves thus preventing them from soaking up their lies and innuendos. This transformation of the society brings about a high degree of loyalty for the country and its Leaders and the people would be willing to lay down their lives for this feeling of belonging—this land is my land and I will defend it with my last breath and last ounce of strength; this feeling emerges out of every man, woman and child who are now fortified with pride and dignity as human beings, who have been totally liberated in a real sense.
Cuba as an Independent country and a Sovereign Member State of the United Nations, possess the right, the privilege to choose the economic pathway, best suited for the development of its people. The Preamble to the United Nations Charter of 24th October, 1945, gives it that right. The Preamble reads, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE NATIONS DETERMINED,
: to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold suffering to mankind and,,
::to regain faith in the fundamental human rights,, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small and,
:to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained and,
:to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,
AND FOR THESE ENDS:
:to practice tolerance and to live together in peace with each other as good neighbours and,
:to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security and,
:to ensure by the acceptance of principles and the institution of methods, that armed force shall not be used, save in the common interest and,
:to employ international machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all peoples
HAVE RESOLVED TO COMBINE ALL OUR EFFORTS TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE AIMS!
This is the Preamble to the United Nations Charter which was signed by 51 countries in London on 24th October, 1945. Is there any section which prohibits Cuba from pursuing the Socialist pathway to its development? Why then is the USA unilaterally imposing these harsh criminal, inhuman, draconian embargoes on the country? Why is the USA evading its responsibility by not adhering to the Charter of the United Nations to which it was a signatory? Not only is the USA imposing embargoes but it is hell bent on toppling countries which pursue the Socialist pathway of development and assassinating Leaders who follow the Socialist path? When Fulgencio Batista who ruled Cuba 1940-1944 and 1952-1959 was toppled in 1959 by the Socialist revolution, 70% of the 11 million inhabitants had no access to education.
This means that 7 million, 770 thousand people were illiterate; two years later in 1961, the United Nations declared the Country illiteracy free: the only country in Latin America and perhaps the entire world, which had accomplished such a feat! Cubans had to walk for days to reach the Capital Havana, in order to access medical attention. The unemployment rate was astronomically high. Cuba was known as the whore house or Brothel of the world and these brothels were owned by the USA Mafia. Little girls, at the age of 12 – 13 on their way to school were abducted and placed in Brothels to work as prostitutes and the USA never lifted a finger to assist those young girls or imposed sanctions on the country Prior to the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, little children aged as young as five years were placed in mines of th capitalist Czar, so that he and his family, could realize humongous profits from the sweat and toil and death and disease of these little thoroughly exploited children.
The Revolutionaries took the children out of the pits and placed them into nurseries where they rightfully belonged; they then introduced equal pay for men and women, holiday with pay. Maternity leave for pregnant mothers sick leave with pay, free education from kindergarten to university level. free health care system, the 8 hour day for workers. This 8 hour day was introduced in the USA by a Congressional Bill passed in 1938, (21 years after the Russian revolution of 1917) after many innocent persons were hanged and sentenced to prison in the May 4th, 1886 Chicago Haymarket Massacre. It is this Massacre which led to the Internationally Recognized MAY DAY|LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION for workers worldwide. Russia became the enemy, just as Cuba has, for liberating its working class from the fangs of capitalist exploitation and degradation.
Three Years (1945-1948) after the signing of the United Nations Charter, the Dehumanizing, Dreadful Apartheid system was introduced in South Africa, totally denying the Black Natives their basic human rights, thus returning them to the days of slavery, forcing them to work at all kind of ridiculous hours and under some very horrific conditions. This treatment of the Black South Africans suited the USA and the U.K, whose multi nationals relished the cheap labour and the humongous profits they were accruing from the pain, the torture, the misery, the dehumanization, heaped upon these Black souls. When Nelson Mandela, touched by the plight of his oppressed and segregated people, intervened on their behalf, he was imprisoned and sentenced to LIFE imprisonment, in 1964! For fighting for the dignity of his Black People, he was referred to by the USA as a Terrorist. It took the Cuban Military to liberate Angola and Namibia from the clutches of South Africa 1975 –December 22, 1988 when the Cubans defeated the Invincible South African Army which was ably supported by the USA with arms and finances.
The defeat of the South African Army, led to the release of Mandela in1990, after spending 27 years of his life in prison. The defeat also led to the dismantling of the Apartheid system in South Africa, thereby enabling Nelson Mandela to become the very first Black Leader of his country. The Black South Africans are still hurting, for nothing has really changed; the capitalist system is still dominant. It is a degrading system and the Black inhabitants will always be degraded as long as that system is dominant. Capitalism is like a vampire; it sucks the Blood of the working class The Triumphant 1959 Cuban Revolution has brought so many changes into the lives of many THIRD WORLD Citizens, who have been trained in all professions FREE OF COST. These THIRD WORLD Citizens would never have realized their yearnings were it not for the Free Scholarships provided by Communist Cuba?
And do you know that there are students from the USA who could never realize their dream of becoming who and what they wanted to become, studying in Cuba FREE OF COST?, if it were not for the FREE Scholarships provided by the Government and people of Cuba, despite the Demonic, draconian, horrendous, barbarous, economic embargo imposed upon it by its Bullying neighbour who bears no respect for international Laws and treaties? Cuba has shown that you JUST cannot keep a good man down, no matter how hard you may try. Look at the Natural disasters all over the world, sometimes in the remotest areas on the globe, to which Cuba has dispatched its Medical Brigade? In this COVID 19 Pandemic, no one has called on the USA for help. They have all gravitated to Cuba and China (two Communist Countries) for medical assistance
“The greatest want of the world today, is the want of men. Men who ae true and honest. Men, whose conscience to duty, is like unto the needle to the pole. Men, who cannot be bought or sold. Men, who are not afraid to call sin by its rightful name. Men, who will stand up for the right though the heavens fall. Ellen G. Whyte, Founder of the Sabbath Faith! Where are the world Leaders who could stand up to the Bullying Tactics of the USA and tell it that it is totally against the spirit of the United Nations Charter of 1945 to impose unilateral sanctions on Cuba? Which one of the world Leaders possess the Moral Fortitude to stand up bravely and courageously to criticize the USA, thus calling “SIN” by its rightful name and tell its Leader that it is WRONG to impose unilateral Sanctions on the country, when the United Nations Charter, admonishes us to settle our disputes peacefully and live together as good neighbours?
The USA has broken the rules of the World Trade Organization, it has withdrawn its financial support for the WHO, it has aborted the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), it has Assassinated world Leaders and overthrown their Governments, it has kidnapped and transferred Leaders of Countries to the USA for trial and sentencing, which is against International Law and the list goes on. Is there no Leader in the world who can bell this cat or who can take this runaway horse?
“THE Greatest Want Of The WORLD Today, Is the WANT of MEN!
