Nassau, 12 March 2018.- With the participation of officials of the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture and Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, as well as personalities of the local culture, Member of Parliament, Mark Humes and the Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter met at the headquarters of the Bahamian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a cordial atmosphere, they both dialogued about the successful cultural exchange between Cuba and The Bahamas, as well as the impact of the African heritage in the Caribbean islands culture. The Member of Parliament and the Ambassador agreed on joint cultural events on the occasion of the celebration of the 46th anniversary of the independence of The Bahamas in July and the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations Cuba-Bahamas in November.
