THE BAHAMAS, December 21th, 2015.- Cuba and The Bahamas reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations by signing a collaboration agreement on health. Dr. Herbert H. Brown, Director of the Public Hospitals Authority and Dr. Julio Castañer, Vice President of Business and Marketing for Cuban Medical Services signed the agreement which will allow the arrival of a Cuban medical brigade.
The representatives of both countries touched upon the features of the Cuban and the Bahamian healthcare system. They also highlighted the prestige of Cuban health professionals.
Also present in this historic moment, Dr. Clarina Núñez, official of the National Department of Hospitals in the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba to The Bahamas, Vanesa Ortega and staff of the Public Hospitals Authority.
