Cuba and Egypt reaffirm their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the field of health

Cairo, May 26, 2026. On the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly, which took place recently in Geneva, a cordial meeting was held between Tania M. Cruz Hernández, First Deputy Minister of Health of Cuba, and Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population of Egypt.

During the friendly meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together to develop bilateral medical cooperation for the benefit of our peoples.

The meeting highlighted the depth and strength of the historic relations between Egypt and Cuba, noting that the cultural and human ties between the two countries constitute a solid foundation for developing cooperation in various fields, especially in the health sector. (Embacuba Egipto)
