The Minister for Health and Member of the Parliament of Ghana, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman Manu and the Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González signed, in the conference room of the Ministry of Health, the new Health Cooperation Agreement between the two countries, which supports medical collaboration through the presence of a Cuban Medical Brigade.
This agreement, which will be valid for at least two years, regulates Cuban cooperation towards Ghana with health specialists, which ratifies this sector as an important pillar in bilateral relations between both countries, in the year of the 60 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Prior to the signing of the agreement, both the Cuban Ambassador and the Minister for Health expressed the importance of its officialization, which contributes to continue to bringing to Ghana specialists of undeniable professional quality to help solving health problems that the African country is not yet able to solve with its professionals.
Present at the firm were officials from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ghana, officials of the Cuban embassy, members of the Cuban medical Brigade in the country, and journalists from 15 Ghanaian media.
