Cuba and Ghana strengthen medical cooperation

A new Medical Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP) and its Ghanaian counterpart, through which it was agreed to send new Cuban specialists in support of the Ghanaian Health System.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Health of Ghana, Mr. Alexander P. Segbefia, while on behalf of the MINSAP, the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González signed.

Mr. Alexander P. Segbefia expressed his satisfaction at the fact that the Cuban doctors, who enjoy good prestige throughout the world, continue to supporting his people; meanwhile, the Cuban Ambassador said that the document signed is a continuation of the work that Cuba began with this sister country in the field of health since 1983, when the first Cuban specialists arrived in this African land.
