St. George's, April 28. Grenada's Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Exports, Roxie McLeish Hutchinson, received Cuban Ambassador Ivette Martinez Leyva at her Ministry's headquarters.
In a friendly meeting, the two diplomats reviewed the status of the main issues of bilateral cooperation, focusing on infrastructure, health, and education. The Cuban ambassador thanked the executive branch for Grenada's continued support of Cuba in denouncing the impact on the Cuban people caused by the blockade and Cuba's unjust inclusion on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
The Cuban representative took the opportunity to promote the participation of a Grenadian delegation in the ExpoCaribe 2025 Fair, to be held in June, and to present the portfolio of opportunities for foreign investment in the island.
For her part, Ms. McLeish Hutshinton reiterated the Grenada government's commitment to promoting the implementation of the memoranda signed in Havana and expanding current bilateral cooperation.
