Kingston, Jamaica, January 5th, 2018. The Minister of Industry , Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica, Karl Samuda, welcomed the Cuban Ambassador Ines Fors Fernandez in a courtesy visit.
The meeting, held at the venue of this ministry, served to ratified the willingness of both countries to further strengthen the economic-commercial relations and take them to the same level of excelence of the diplomatic-political relations.
Minister Samuda, also member of the Parliament of Jamaica, wished success to the Cuban diplomat in her new responsibilities in Jamaica and reiterated the support to the efforts to consolidate the trade exchanges.
Samuda also stated the desite of his ministry to establish cooperation ties aiming at mutually benefiting from the experiences of one and the other country.
Cuban Ambassador expressed that her country could benefit widely with potential exchanges with Jamaica and reiterated the compromise to work tirelessly to fullfil those objetictes.
Donovan Stanberry, Permanent Secretary of Industry , Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries was also present at the visit as well as officials from the ministry. Fors Fernández was accompanied by Dr. Jorge Sánchez Fuentes, in charge of commercial affairs at the Embassy.
