Cuba and Malaysia explores possibilities to collaborate in the health sector

Kuala Lumpur, March 22nd - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández, held a working meeting with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, Dato Seri Dr Chen Chaw Min, where they addressed the health situation in both countries and the possibilities that exist to develop a future bilateral collaboration.

Dr Chen Chaw Min expressed interest in the drugs and vaccines produced by Cuba to fight against cancer and diabetes and the country's experience in controlling non communicable diseases. He also highlighted the high health rates that the island enjoys.

For her part, the Cuban ambassador presented the business catalog of BIOCUBAFARMA where the business modalities and leading products of the Cuban pharmaceutical industry are registered.
