Cuba and Norway review their multilateral agenda

Oslo, March 2, 2022- In a cordial meeting, the general director of Multilateral Cooperation of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Merete Fjeld Brattested, and the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, acknowledged the existing cooperation between both countries in the multilateral sphere.

It was a good occasion to talk about some subjects that are currently center of attention in international organizations, especially in the United Nations. In this context, the Ambassador thanked Norway for its traditional support to the claim for the lifting of the blockade imposed by the US against Cuba within the framework of the General Assembly.

Merete Fjeld explained to the Ambassador the organizational structure of her department, which reflects the priorities in multilateral arena for Norwegian diplomacy in a period marked by its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council. (Embacuba Noruega)
