Cuba and the Philippines explore possibilities to increase bilateral trade

Kuala Lumpur, October 19- Cuba's ambassador to the Philippines, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy call to the country's trade and investment Secretary, Ramón López.

During the meeting the ambassador presented the business opportunities in Cuba and addressed the main aspects of the process of updating the Cuban economy as well as the priorities of the development plan until 2030.

The Philippine minister reported on his country's interest in exploring the Cuban market as well as the possibility of establishing mutually advantageous businesses. He pointed to biotechnology as one of the areas of greatest interest.
