A few hours after his arrival in Havana, Peñalver Portal shared with the press ideas about the concrete results and the importance of the trip, which, in his opinion, "met the proposed objectives, was very fruitful and will mark a milestone."
“There was also progress in the high-level political dialogue, taking into account that both nations are strategic allies and are under the effect of unilateral coercive measures which, in the case of Cuba, is a strong blockade.
"For this reason, we must look for new ways and ways to carry out our economic cooperation relations outside the scope of the financial instruments imposed by the hegemony of the dollar, which is yielding more and more to a multipolar world, and where other actors such as China , India and Russia acquire greater relevance and weight in the system of international trade and finance.
Likewise, he highlighted the meetings held in Moscow with the country's main leaders, especially with his counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin, who described Cuba as a key partner in Latin America, and with the president, Vladimir Putin, a dialogue that, according to Peñalver Portal, "was really very fraternal and the commitment to support the Greater Antilles in these difficult circumstances that we live in was evident."
