Rwanda, October 23, 2018.- The Cuban ambassador to Rwanda Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and met the Permanent Secretary Michel Sebera. During the meeting, Pubillones and Sebera reviewed the current state of economic-trade links between the two countries and addressed other issues of bilateral relations.
Both sides agreed that there is potential in the two countries for the eventual development of foreign investments, especially in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, and expressed their desire to create conditions through diplomatic channels to move in that direction in the future.
The Cuban diplomat thanked Sebera for his ministry's interest in broadening and strengthening economic-trade relations and took the opportunity to extend an invitation to the new Minister of the sector to visit Cuba within the framework of FIHAV 2019. He conveyed his congratulations to the new minister on behalf of her Cuban counterpart, Rodrigo Malmierca.
The Permanent Secretary, for his part, thanked the Cuban Government for its contribution to the independence of African countries and the undeniable benefits to his country that Cuban collaboration has contributed, particularly in health.
