Cuba and Thailand, 65 Aniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.

On May 15, 2023, the governments of the Republic of Cuba and the Kingdom of Thailand celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Both nations have maintained historical ties of friendship and fruitful cooperation and have reiterated their will and political decision to expand them.

Thailand is located in Southeast Asia. Its capital and most populous city is Bangkok, the center of political, commercial and industrial activity.

It borders Laos to the east, Cambodia and the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast, Malaysia to the south, and the Andaman Sea and Myanmar to the west. It has an area of 513,120 km² and some 71,600,000 inhabitants, which means a population density of about 128 inhab./km².

About 75% of the population is ethnically Thai, 14% is of Chinese origin, and 3% is of Malay origin. The rest belong to other minority groups. The official language of the country is Thai and the main religion is Buddhism, practiced by 95% of its population.
