The Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Parliament of Latin America and the Caribbean (PARLATINO), Rolando Miguel González Patricio held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM).
During the meeting, a fruitful exchange of views was held on bilateral relations, regional and global current issues.
They discussed the steps that can be taken to deepen friendly relations between the two countries on the basis of concrete projects and to develop cooperation in all fields, especially in areas such as economy, trade, energy, culture, tourism, agriculture and health.The contribution of parliamentary diplomacy and relations between the two parliaments to strengthen existing relations between Cuba and Türkiye, as well as relations with the Latin American and Caribbean region was discussed. They agreed to continue the exchange of views at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum to discuss the role of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing regional and global challenges.
The meeting was attended by the Cuban Ambassador to Türkiye Alejandro Díaz Palacios.
