Uganda, February 12, 2018. - Cuban Ambassador to Uganda Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre received Professor Eli Katunguka, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kyambogo, in his office.
During the meeting, which took place in a fraternal environment, ways were examined to expand the cooperation ties between Cuba and Uganda to the higher education sector. Both parties welcomed the good state of bilateral relations and committed to work together in the future to achieve this important objective on mutually beneficial bases.
Professor Katunguka praised the quality of the Cuban education system and expressed interest in visiting the island as soon as feasible in order to learn firsthand the particularities of higher education and explore with the respective authorities the real possibilities of collaboration between the Ugandan public institution and Cuban universities.
