Cuba and Uganda sign cooperation agreement on technical and vocational education.

Kampala. On the morning of November 14, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda and the Ministry of Education of Cuba.

The Honorable Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo, Deputy Minister of Education, headed the Ugandan delegation and was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and several Commissioners. The Cuban side was represented by Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques.

The aforementioned instrument has as its general objectives to promote the exchange of experiences, good practices and information on Technical and Vocational Education, promote programs and projects, as well as foster institutional cooperation on the basis of mutual interest.

Cuba and Uganda celebrate this year 50 years of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
