Cuba awards Jacob Oulayah post mortem with the Friendship Medal

Kampala. On the morning of February 8, the Honorable Andrew Oulayah and his brother Harold Adiyo Oulanyah, received the post mortem decoration awarded by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba to the late president of the Ugandan Parliament Jacob Oulayah.

Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués pointed out that the Friendship Medal is a distinction in recognition of a history of solidarity with Cuba and unconditional attachment to the defense of the Cuban Revolution.

She added that, what JACOB OULANYAH achieved in just one year, despite other important political responsibilities, demonstrated his true commitment to Cuba-Uganda relations, as well as his respect, admiration and gratitude for the Cuban Revolution.
