NASSAU, 30 June 2018.- A few hours ago, the Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas hosted an emotional ceremony to bid farewell to the four Bahamian students who were benefited with the scholarship program offered by Cuba every year in many countries around the world. This event was attended by family members of the students and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
In this framework, the students signed the Code of Ethics that rules the conduct to be followed in the centers where they will study. Likewise, it was the space to share experiences about the potentials and the quality of the tertiary education in Cuba, recognized at the international level.
For her part, the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, urged young Bahamians to give their best during their studies in Cuba and return to The Bahamas to serve their communities and the people who need them the most.
More than 60 Bahamian youngsters have graduated from Cuban universities.
