Cuba calls to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria

• Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

 We have followed with great concern the events that have taken place at a rapid pace in the Syrian Arab Republic, which led to the fall of Bashar Al  Assad's government by armed opposition groups. 

 We make a firm call to preserve the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Syria, as well as to respect the integrity and security of the diplomatic missions located in that Arab nation. 

 We are in permanent contact with our diplomatic staff, who are well, complying with the plans established for this type of contingencies, with a lot of discipline, unity and commitment.
