Cuba congratulates Latvia on its Independence Day

Helsinki, November 18, 2022.- Cuba congratulated the Republic of Latvia on the occasion of its National Holiday celebrated this November 18, in messages from President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Minister Bruno Rodríguez to their Latvian counterparts, while the Cuban Foreign Ministry shared a message of greetings to the national date.

"Cuba congratulates Latvia on the occasion of its National Holiday. We ratify our willingness to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between both nations," the Cubaminrex portal highlighted through the social network Twitter.

For her part, the Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, attending this Baltic nation from Helsinki, highlighted her virtual meeting with the Undersecretary of State-Political Director of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Andžejs Viļumsons. The Diplomat meant the possibility of greeting the Latvian authority and sharing its congratulations on such a significant date and of thanking Latvia for its support in the resolution against the blockade of Cuba.

The day before, the Ambassador participated in the commemoration organized by the Latvian Embassy in Finland, at which time she also conveyed her greetings to Ambassador H.E. Ms. Dance Treija-Masī, who organized a nice cultural evening at this venue.
