The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has extended congratulatory messages to the main State and Government authorities in Saint Lucia on the occasion of the nation’s 41st Anniversary of Independence. In his official messages to His Excellency The Governor General Sir Emmanuel Neville Cenac and to Prime Minister The Honorable Allen Michael Chastanet, the Cuban President relayed warm congratulations on behalf of the Cuban people and its Government and reaffirmed his willingness to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two nations.
Likewise the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of, Bruno Rodríguez extended his greetings to Honorable Sarah Flood-Beaubrun, Minister with responsibility for External Affairs, to whom he expressed his best wishes for the continuous strengthening of the relationship between Cuba and Saint Lucia.
Cuba is pleased to share, in this manner, in the joy and jubilation of the Government and people of Saint Lucia for having reached another, new anniversary of this important historical date that is the anniversary of its independence and in order to continue working together to strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that unite us. Cuba and Saint Lucia share the Latin-American and Caribbean history of seeking our sovereignty and independence; we also have a shared geographical, historical, human and cultural setting of the Caribbean that embraces us all.
