Lomotey, an exchange on Cuban culture took place at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Accra. The event, which concluded with the screening of the film ‘Innocence’, was attended by students and professors of the aforementioned prestigious university.

In the words of the second secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero, a dynamic encounter of knowledge about the Island began between two teams. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Ghana, Anette Chao Garcia, welcomed those present at the Embassy, urged them to continue being close to the island and to promote the principles and values that make us come together and more humane. She also thanked Ghana for its support to Cuba's battle against the commercial, economic and financial blockade the island has been subjected to, spoke about the energy crisis that recently hit Cuba and about the confidence in the resilience and strength of the Cuban people and its government.

This event is part of the activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Ghana.
