THE BAHAMAS, 24 October 2016.- Once again the name of Cuba reached the highest place at the International Cultural Festival of the Bahamas. Under the theme "We are Cuba" our representation managed to captivate the jury and got the Grand Prize among the 26 participating countries. Also, the area of Cuba retained the 1st place in the Caribbean region. For the defense of the subject, the exaltation of the Cuban traditions and the contribution made by Cubans for decades in the Bahamian society were essential.
As every year, artisans and artists from Cuba also traveled to The Bahamas to represent our country with their works. During the two days of the International Cultural Festival in the Bahamas, hundreds of foreign visitors and Cuban residents got together in the area of Cuba which offered a wide variety of typical products.
With a vibrant dance performance, a group of youngsters composed of health collaborators and Cuban residents showed the audience various genres of the Cuban music and made children and adults of different nationalities dance.
Representatives from the five continents showcased dissimilar expressions of their culture during the 21st Edition of this colorful Festival that annually attracts a significant number of residents and tourists.
