Copenhagen, February 24, 2023. Cuba participates in the new edition of the "DANISH TRAVEL SHOW" fair, in Denmark, from February 24 to 26, which takes place at the "MCH Messecenter" venue, in the city of Herning, located in the center of the peninsula of Jutland.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Roger López García, who attended the opening day of the event, on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, held a friendly dialogue with Mayor Dorte West; with the General Director of the Fair, Georg Sorensen; and Project Manager, Anders Mortensen; in a ceremony that was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Denmark.
The Cuban diplomat held a meeting with the General Manager of "Check Point Travel", Henrik Saermark, a tour operator that has ten programs designed in the current tourist season, with a broad perspective of promoting the Cuban market during the rest of the year. He also visited other Pavilions at the Fair, and spoke with the tourist representatives that promote the Cuba destination: C & C Travel, the Viktor Farmor Travel Agency, among others.
The Counselor of the Swedish Tourism Office, Sergio Ferreiro Cabrera, and Hernán Donoso, Sales Specialist, have held a broad exchange of work with the Travel Agencies, and tour operators present, to promote the Cuban tourist product and promote management from Denmark.
The Danish Company of "Mojito Factory" offered the services of the Cuban cocktail recipe with its traditional samples, and had the artistic presentations of a group of resident Cubans, to animate the different moments of the meeting.
Danish Travel Show is the most important holiday fair of the tourism industry not only in Denmark, but throughout the Scandinavian region, and has become the preferred meeting place for companies dedicated to different activities such as camping, outdoor living, golf, hotels, airlines, holiday transport, caravans, as part of the Danish travel trade.
This Fair, created in 1998, is attended by more than 60,000 visitors, almost 3,000 professionals from the leisure industry, and more than 1,100 exhibitors in the 14 exhibition halls from more than 80 countries.
