In 2023, Cuba maintained diplomatic relations with 195 States; of them, 190 full members of the United Nations, another five (Palestine, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Cook Islands, Holy See and Niue), reaching 197 with the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and Malta, and also with the European Union.

The visits of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba had high repercussions, especially to New York, a city where, in the middle of the street, affection and respect for the Greater Antilles and its Revolution emerged.
"Support for the Palestinian cause and the fight for a more just and equitable democratic world order, based on International Law and the sovereign equality of States," constituted one more example of Cuba's position regarding world peace and to international law.
