Members of the José Martí Brigade have begun their work in Cuba. Convened by ICAP (Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples), the brigade expresses solidarity with the Cuban people's struggle and will hold meetings, exchanges, and volunteer work during the first half of August. Participants will also attend the International Colloquium commemorating the Centenary of the Birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The Brigade, comprised of representatives from 14 countries, includes Greece, which stands out for the number of participants. These participants have also contributed by delivering a significant donation of medicines to Cuban medical institutions, hospitals, and civil society organizations. These medicines help save lives amidst the difficult conditions imposed by the criminal and intensified economic, commercial, financial, and energy blockade imposed by the U.S. government against the Cuban people.
