Cuba participated in the 29th edition of the EMITT Fair in Istanbul to strengthen its presence in the Eurasian tourism market.

The EMITT Fair in Istanbul opens its doors for its 29th edition, consolidating its position as one of the most important tourism events in Eurasia and a strategic hub for connecting destinations, companies, and tourism professionals at the international level.

Cuba is taking part in this important event with a high-level delegation headed by the Consul General, Raúl Ernesto Madrigal Cárdenas, and including Tourism Counselor Yanet Mora Ferguson, along with representatives of national hotel chains such as Gran Caribe, Cubanacán Hotels, and Gaviota, as well as international partner brands including Meliá Hotels, Blue Diamond Resorts, and Barceló Hotels. The delegation is further strengthened by the presence of travel agencies and receptive tour operators such as Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacán, Havanatur, and San Cristóbal, reflecting the breadth and solidity of Cuba’s tourism offering.

Throughout the fair, from February 5 to 7, the Cuban delegation will carry out an intensive agenda of meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, tourism entrepreneurs, and specialized media, highlighting a comprehensive tourism offer that goes beyond the traditional sun-and-beach model. At EMITT, Cuba showcases its cultural heritage, natural diversity, adventure tourism options, authentic experiences, and accessible tourism, reflecting the continuous updating of its tourism product.

The Turkish market, together with neighboring regional countries, represents a space of high strategic value for the diversification of source markets to Cuba. In this context, participation in EMITT facilitates the presentation of the destination’s main new developments, the identification of new business opportunities, and the strengthening of cooperation with key regional partners, contributing to an increase in tourist flows to the Island.

At the same time, Cuba reinforces its positioning as a diverse, reliable, and constantly evolving destination, where history, culture, nature, gastronomy, and renowned hospitality come together to offer unique experiences to international travelers.
