Cuba participated in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

Havana, November 19, 2021.- The Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, participated virtually in the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which took place in the city of Yerevan, Armenia, between 18 and on November 19, 2021.
In his speech before the prime ministers and other heads of delegations, the Cuban premier ratified the political will to deepen relations with the nations of the Bloc, achieve an active participation of the Eurasian business community in investment projects, increase and diversify exports of goods and services and implement joint projects in various sectors. He also highlighted the need for collaboration between these States in the face of the health and environmental crisis facing humanity.
Marrero Cruz extended the invitation to companies from the countries of the Union to participate in the second Cuba 2021 Business Forum, which will be held, virtually, from November 29 to December 2 of this year.
The Prime Minister thanked, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, the permanent support of the Member States of the Union for the Cuban cause for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government on our country.
This is the fourth session of the Council in which Cuba participates, after receiving Observer State status from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on December 11, 2020.
