Riga, January 24, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Latvia, Beatriz Parra González, participated in the official activities for the 103 Anniversary of the International recognition of the Republic of Latvia, that took place in the last hours in the chancellery of this Baltic nation.
The Cuban diplomat shared greetings with the main authorities of the Foreign Ministry, starting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Krišjānis Kariņš, its Secretary of State, Andris Pelšs, the Under Secretary of State, Andžejs Viļumsons, and the officials of the Latin American and Caribbean area, headed by the director, Inga Krastiņa.
The Ambassador took the opportunity to thank the distinguish authorities on behalf of Cuban people and Government for Latvia's support on the United Nations, against the US' embargo as well as the existing cooperation in various multilateral bodies.
Cuba will be present at the greeting for the New Year Reception that will be hosted by the president of the Republic of Latvia, Edgar Rinkevics, this Thursday evening.
