Cuba participates in the 30th Conference of States Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

The Hague, November 24, 2025. The 30th Conference of States Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) began in this city in the Netherlands.

From today until November 28, this major event will discuss various current issues and topics related to compliance with the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The Cuban delegation, led by the permanent representative, Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva, will participate in several items on the event's agenda to reaffirm the firm position of the Greater Antilles in favor of the total elimination of weapons of mass destruction and international cooperation in the peaceful use of chemistry.

Cuba has been a State Party to the OPCW since 1997.
