Montego Bay, 15 May 2024. A Cuban delegation led by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Informatics and Communications, Ana Julia Marine López, participated in the Caribbean Spectrum Management Conference, an event of great importance for the development of new information and communication technologies and to achieve digital transformation, which was held in this Jamaican city on 14 and 15 May.
During the meeting, the Cuban representative exchanged with the attendees on the advances in the use and control of the radio-electric spectrum in Cuba, a finite natural resource that serves for the development of wireless networks; new communication technologies and the transition to digital television on the island. The Cuban delegation also stressed the importance of harmonising the spectrum between countries to avoid interference in services.
