Ambassador Norberto Carlos Excalona Carrillo participated in the roundtable discussion “Cooperation between the GCC and the Caribbean on Energy Transitions and the Blue Economy,” organized by the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy (ADGM) and hosted by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the United Arab Emirates. Among other topics, the discussion addressed the energy transition within the context of the Gulf Cooperation Council's partnership with the Caribbean.
The Cuban ambassador discussed Cuba's environmental policies and priorities and denounced the intensified energy blockade against Cuba, which prevents the Cuban state from meeting its energy needs and hinders funds and investors, who are unable to freely develop business projects in Cuba.
