The 26th World Road Congress, held in Abu Dhabi, from October 6 to 10, 2019, was opened by Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Transportation Authority - Terrestrial and Maritime, as well as by Mr. Claude Van Rooten, President of the World Road Association (PIARC), who in his respective opening speeches offered a warm welcome to the more 1,200 expert participants and leaders in the transport sector of the 121 member countries.
Raúl Díaz Guadarrama, General Director of the National Road Center of Cuba, governmental authority in this area and the head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission, Jorge León Cruz, participate in this international event that has been designed to allow all the states in the world to have the opportunity to discuss issues of international relevance, such as prevention and security, financing, design, development of the sector to exchange new and innovative ideas, with the aim that all professionals in the sector can acquire, in a only event, relevant and updated knowledge of the most worrisome issues of today.
